Sectoral Workshop on Consultation on the Findings of a Report Prepared on Energy Efficiency and Decarbonisation Strategy for the Indian Aluminium Industry
Brief About the Event: The ASPIRE Programme in collaboration with BEE are pleased to announce a one-day Sectoral Workshop focusing on "Consultations of a Report Prepared on Energy Efficiency and Decarbonisation Strategy for the Indian Aluminium Industry". The workshop is scheduled for 28th August 2024 at Vedanta Ltd, Jharsuguda, Odisha.
Under the ASPIRE programme, a Report on "Energy Efficiency and Decarbonisation Strategy for the Indian Aluminium Industry" has been prepared. The initiatives outlined in this report align with India’s commitment to global efforts in combating climate change. By fostering energy efficiency and decarbonisation, we aim to reduce the Aluminium industry's carbon footprint and create a model for sustainable industrial growth that can be emulated across sectors.
In the first half of the Workshop salient findings of the report will be shared by the ASPIRE Team followed by consultations with Aluminium and Alumina Plants. In the Second half, we will have a Best Practices Presentation by the Aluminium and Alumina Plants.
The workshop invites perspective of the government representatives, Aluminium industry leaders, policymakers, sector experts, and influential figures to share the feedback on the recommendations of the report and recommend decarbonisation strategies to be adopted by the Aluminium Sector.
Participation in the Workshop will be accepted on a First Come First Served basis. Notably, there is no participation fee for attending the workshop.
