About iDeeksha

Industrial Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency Knowledge Sharing Platform (iDeeksha), formerly known as 'Knowledge Exchange Platform' is a joint initiative of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and UK Government's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) under the Accelerating Smart Power and Renewable Energy (ASPIRE) Programme. The purpose of this Knowledge Sharing Platform (KSP) is to promote Industrial Energy Efficiency and Decarbonisation (IEED) measures through sharing of best practices and sectoral learnings. 

ASPIRE programme is a bilateral programme, being implemented by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Government of UK in association with the Ministry of Power (MoP) and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. 

Objectives

The Knowledge Sharing Platform (KSP) would facilitate

  1. Exchange of knowledge and information to enhance peer to peer learning
  2. Exchange of energy management best practices across sectors
  3. Facilitate access to tools, technologies, and technology providers in India and globally
  4. Provide links to data sources and knowledge repositories to support knowledge translation
  5. Organize sector/ industry specific workshops/ seminars/ webinars to enhance EE measures
  6. Enable knowledge and commercial partnerships

KSP Activities

The KSP has been anchored at BEE to carry out the day-to-day operations activities. The key activities performed by the platform are

  1. KSP secretariat is established at BEE, the Secretariat facilitates timely release of KSP Publications, plan and organize sector activities for knowledge exchange among the industrial sectors through sectoral workshops, friendly energy efficiency exchange visits
  2. KSP also works in collaboration, partnerships, and networking within and across Industry Associations for transfer of best practices
  3. Support Training and Capacity Building by using the existing Centers of Excellence and creating a pool of resources
